Favicons
Ever wondered how to get those nifty little icons next to the URLs on your browser? They're called favicons and you can customize the icon that shows up next to your sites URL when people visit your site.
You either need a program that makes .ico extension images, or you can simply visit this site to pixel an icon online and then download it. It's very simple and hassle-free.

Just pixel your icon, save it as favicon.ico, and then upload it to your server. Make sure you upload it to your main directory (the directory where all of your html files go ex. index.html). The icon will show up in your visitors browsers up near your URL and also in their favorites if they have your site bookmarked.
